'Hi welcome back to my channel! Here\'s my go to OLD FASHIONED BUTTER CAKE / POUND CAKE recipe baked my student. My student, Im, is a Thai ESL student and in the fifth grade. We started having conversational English lessons until she let me know her desire to be a baker. Though a beginner myself, I decided to set up a baking class for her since we both have interest in baking. Her parents are supportive of her passion, generously and willing to provide most ingredients for our classes. Help support and encourage Im in achieving her dream to open a bakery in the future by liking her videos. She is full of potential and I\'m very proud of her. (See recipe below) #BakingAndEnglishClass #BakingWithMyThaiESLStudent #EasyBakingRecipes Ingredients:  1 c butter 1 1/2 cups sugar  1 tsp vanilla 4 large eggs 3 c all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 c buttermilk Powdered sugar Cooking spray   Procedure: 1. First of all, preheat oven to 350 degrees F / 180 C and grease baking dishes or 2 loaf pans.  2. Beat together butter and sugar until fluffy.  3. And then beat in vanilla.  4. Add eggs one at a time, blending well after each addition.  5. Combine flour with baking soda and salt.  6. Add to batter alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour. 7.  Pour batter into prepared baking dish. Bake for about 1 ½ hours or until a pick inserted comes out clean.  8. Allow cake to stand 5 minutes and remove from pan and finish cooling on a rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.'
